FireCare, Security & Electrical Support Local Scout Group Following Fire

Commercial CCTV systems

Earlier this year, Darren, Debbie and the team here at FireCare were saddened to learn that a local Scout hut had been destroyed, leaving more than 100 young Scouts and Guides without a place to meet.

The 19th Itchen North Scout Group in Thornhill, Southampton, was broken into and a trailer was set on fire. The flames then spread to the building resulting in an estimated £50,000 worth of damage and leading to the cancellation of Scout and Guide meetings.

The Scout hut is the only youth establishment on the Thornhill estate, so it was a real blow to the local community.

Following the fire, the group, run by volunteers, reached out to local businesses to see if anyone could help to get the hut back up and running. A number of businesses rallied round to offer their services and here at FireCare we were also keen to help.

As this was not the first time the group had suffered a break in, we have offered to supply and install an intruder alarm to the rebuilt hut, free of charge, once it is ready for occupation. We hope this will prevent any further similar incidents happening again in the future.

FireCare, Security & Electrical offer a complete range of security and fire protection services to businesses throughout the South of England. We are experts in our field and have many years of experience in identifying the fire safety and security solution to meet every building, situation and budget.
